Biography

Ben Galley joined Liberty in September of 2012 and currently serves as the athletic trainer for field hockey, women’s tennis, supervises women’s lacrosse and is the aquatic therapy facility manager. Galley earned his Bachelor’s of Science (B.S.) degree in Athletic Training from Liberty in 2009. The following year, he earned his Master’s of Science (M.S.) degree in Athletic Training from California University of Pennsylvania.

Galley is a performance enhanced specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and has been a part of 11 consecutive winning seasons within Liberty University Athletics including four conference championships, NCAA appearances and one national championship appearance with the field hockey program. Galley owns a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certification as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES). He is also certified through the Board of Certification (BOC) and holds memberships with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers’ Association (MAATA) and the Virginia Athletic Trainers’ Association (VATA).

From 2012-19 Galley served as the athletic trainer for Liberty women’s basketball and its cheerleading team. Prior to Liberty, Galley was the health outreach athletics trainer at Bethlehem Pennsylvania from 2010-12.

Galley currently resides in Lynchburg with his wife Katie and has two sons.
