Facilities

The centerpiece of the Liberty Sports Medicine department is the Liberty Athletics Center (LAC) Athletic Training Room. Opened in the fall of 2017, this 7,800 square-foot athletic training room is designed to facilitate the medical care for student-athletes at Liberty University. Included within this sports medicine facility are offices for the director of sports medicine, medical insurance coordinator and a majority of the full-time athletic training staff. The equipment and available service in this facility are second-to-none. The training room is fully equipped with Keiser pneumatic equipment for rehabilitation, modality units for daily treatment, hot and cold therapeutic whirlpools, three underwater treadmills and an anti-gravity treadmill.

The facility also houses weekly on- campus physical therapy services for student-athletes, an X-ray room with a portable X-ray unit, an office for counseling services, and physician exam room for daily visits from the primary care physicians. Orthopedic surgeons and the team chiropractor also make weekly visits to the LAC athletic training room.

A full-service athletic training facility is housed within the Liberty Softball Stadium. This training room accommodates the daily care and rehabilitation for the Liberty softball team.

A full-service athletic training facility is located within the Liberty Baseball Stadium. This facility accommodates the daily care and rehabilitation of the Liberty baseball team.

The Vines Center Athletic Training Room, located on the court level of the Vines Center, is a satellite training room providing pre/post-practice and pregame care for Liberty men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and cheerleading.

The Indoor Track Athletic Training Room, dedicated to caring for the Liberty men’s and women’s track & field and cross country teams, is a full-service athletic training room housed in the state-of-the-art indoor track facility, which opened in January 2017. Within the facility are hot and cold plunge tubs, a Hydroworx underwater treadmill and an Alter-G anti-gravity treadmill.

The Field Hockey and Lacrosse Athletic Training Room is a satellite training room providing pre/post-practice and pregame care for both the Liberty field hockey and women’s lacrosse teams. It is located in the East Campus Field House next to the Liberty Field Hockey Field and Liberty Lacrosse Field.

The Liberty University football team receives sports medicine services in their full-service athletic training room located in the Liberty Football Operations Center (LFOC). The LFOC training room is a 3,200-square-foot facility that includes hot and cold plunge pools, a SwimX hydrotherapy pool, anti-gravity treadmills, and rehabilitation and treatment areas.
